Editorial Policy

Our guides cover rules that change people's lives. This policy explains how we research, verify, date and correct everything we publish.

Sourcing standards

Primary sources first, always: Law 79/2021 "On Foreigners" and its amendments (including Law 43/2025), Council of Ministers decisions, the e-Albania and e-visa portals, ministry instructions, INSTAT statistics, and embassy notices such as the US Embassy Tirana's guidance. Practitioner sources and applicant reports (forums, expat communities) are used only to describe how rules work in practice — and are labelled as such.

Every substantive claim in our guides must trace back to a primary source: Albanian legislation, ministry or e-Albania pages, or official embassy notices. Each content page carries a Sources & verification block listing those sources.

Verification cycle

Time-sensitive pages (fees, thresholds, processing rules) are re-checked at least every six months and immediately when a legal change is reported. Where sources conflict — it happens in Albanian practice — we publish the conflict and tell you to verify with a licensed professional rather than guessing.

Guides are re-verified on a rolling cycle and whenever a rule changes. The "Last verified" stamp at the end of each page tells you when it was last checked against sources.

No invented figures

Fees, thresholds and timelines are published only when confirmed by an official source. Where practice differs from the letter of the law, we say so explicitly.

Independence and referrals

No one can pay to appear in, or be favoured by, our guides. We do not accept sponsored placements in editorial content, and professionals we may refer readers to have no say over page content. Where we explain that a heavily marketed route doesn't exist — there is no Albanian golden visa or citizenship-by-investment programme — we say so regardless of commercial interest.

Our content is written for readers, not for lead volume. Referral relationships never influence what a guide says or which route it recommends.

Corrections

Corrections of substance are made as soon as verified and noted on the page with the new verification date. To report an error, email starthubproject1@gmail.com with the page URL and, if possible, the official source — we answer every report.

Spotted an error? Write to starthubproject1@gmail.com — we correct promptly and note material corrections on the page.
